SEWA develops 6 distribution stations of 33 kV in 2021

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) developed 6 distribution stations of 33 kilovolts that were added to the electricity distribution networks, being operated from January until April 2021.
The development of the distribution stations was in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to accomplish a programme to develop and modify networks and projects for electricity distribution stations.

Commenting on this, Eng. Mai Al Leem, Director of Project Development Department has highlighted the continuous support and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, contributing in exerting more effort to develop and modify networks; complete station projects; provide all the necessary requirements for the completion of projects; with taking all the necessary measures that ensure the provision of quality services needed for the development projects, with the aim of keeping pace with the urban expansions and the economic, industrial and social prosperity in Sharjah.

Al Leem indicated that SEWA is keen to provide and develop services to new development projects, in the scope of the Authority current and future plans,  keeping pace with the gradual increase of power consumption, and the urban and population expansion, noting that such projects will contribute to providing new neighbourhoods with electricity, in line with the urbanisation and growing populations in the area.

Al Leem added that development projects and new stations, that have been completed according to a specific timeframe, high quality and efficiency, will contribute to achieving stability of electricity networks and loads distribution in different regions.

Eng. Mai Al Leem concluded that SEWA is keen to provide all necessary capabilities, and to take into account the highest safety standards in operating electrical networks at the highest technical level of performance. Moreover, SEWA works on conducting studies to develop and expand distribution networks, operate systems and electricity generation; aiming to improve the efficiency of stations to meet the higher demand for electricity.
