Sharjah 24: Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has announced waiving entry fees to one of its museums, and extending working hours at others during Ramadan.
As part of its strategy to remain engaged with community members and facilitate services during all times, SMA has decided to extend working hours at the Sharjah Aquarium and Sharjah Maritime Museum.

The two attractions, which remain closed on Sundays, will welcome visitors from 9:00AM to 2:00PM and from 9:30PM to 11:30PM between Monday to Saturday.

On Fridays, both museums will open for visitors from 9:30PM to 11:30PM.

Entry fees to the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization have been waived in celebration of the holy month.

Showcasing over 5000 collections representing different eras from across the Islamic world, the museum allows visitors to learn more about Islam and its values of tolerance.

Doors to Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation and Sharjah Art Museum will open for the public from Saturday to Thursday between 9:00AM to 2:00PM and from 9:30PM to 11:30PM.

Other museums under SMA will be operational from Saturday to Thursday between 9:00AM to 2:00PM only and close their doors on Fridays.

These include Al Mahatta Museum, Sharjah Archaeology Museum; Sharjah Heritage Museum; Sharjah Science Museum; Sharjah Calligraphy Museum; Bait Al Naboodah; Sharjah Classic Cars Museum, Sharjah Fort, Hisn Khorfakkan and the Resistance Monument in Khorfakkan.

Museums that operate on Ramadan evenings will stop welcoming visitors during the last ten days of the holy month while all museums will close their doors from the 29th of Ramadan to reopen on the second day of Eid Al Fitr and they will return to regular working hours.
