Sharjah Taxi signs agreement with Sharjah Driving Institute

Sharjah24: Sharjah Taxi has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Sharjah Driving Institute, with the aim of qualifying Sharjah taxi drivers and obtaining driving licenses for various groups of the community. The agreement comes in the interest of both parties, as part of a strategy to enhance joint collaboration and cooperation.
The agreement, signed by Mohammed Abdullah Al Buraimi, Executive Director of Sharjah Taxi, and Tariq Abdul Rahman Al Saleh, Executive Director of the Sharjah Driving Institute, included the agreement that assessments will be conducted for those who have obtained driving licenses from their home country, with the trainee being registered for a specific number of practical classes. 

Mohammed Abdullah Al Buraimi, Executive Director of Sharjah Taxi, confirmed that this agreement comes in accordance with the emirate of Sharjah's strategy to enhance cooperation and joint work between various institutions and agencies in the country, in order to provide the best services and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. He affirmed that this falls in line with Sharjah Taxi’s vision, and is a top priority for the company as they strive to achieve excellence in all services provided for their passengers. 

Al Buraimi said, “We are pleased to enter this cooperation agreement with Sharjah Driving Institute, which is one of the most important addresses in the world of driving. Their capabilities and experiences have accumulated over many years, in order to train and refine the skills of drivers.”

On his part, Tariq Abdul Rahman Al Saleh, Executive Director of the Sharjah Driving Institute, said, “We are pleased to sign the cooperation and joint work agreement with Sharjah Taxi, which will enable us to provide the best services to members of the Sharjah taxi fleet. At Sharjah Driving Institute, we seek to build a distinguished reputation for being a leading institution in vehicle driving education and training in the Middle East, and we strive to remain at the forefront of achieving safety and security on the road.”

It is worth noting that Sharjah's taxi fleet includes 1,300 vehicles, including 100 vehicles for the central and eastern regions, 200 vehicles for Sharjah International Airport, 20 women's vehicles in Sharjah, 130 family-sized vehicles, and 10 (luxury) limousines that operate according to the Zone tariff, in addition to vehicles for people with disabilities, equipped with all equipment.
