Sharjah Ruler inspects Livestock Market project

Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inspected on Monday morning, the Sharjah Livestock Market in the Sajaa Industrial Area, and the visit comes within the framework of His Highness’s keenness to review service projects that meet the needs of a large segment of individuals the society.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, was briefed by Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW), about a detailed explanation of the project phases, the percentage of completion, services and facilities that will serve the visitors of the market.



His Highness toured the market halls, inspecting a number of shops, stables, Sheeps Souqs, the Auction Arena and the Slaughterhouse, where he listened to an explanation about the working mechanism in the slaughterhouse.



During the tour, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah was briefed about the livestock market facilities and the services provided to the public, including all its different shops, administrative building, and facilities that promote the development of the livestock industries in the emirate.



The Market’s shops were designed and built according to international standards approved in terms of space, general shape and facilities, with a focus on the elements of hygiene and public health.



The project was built on an area of 170 thousand square meters, characterized by the beauty of its traditional architectural style, with its distinguished strategic position, between Sharjah - Al Dhaid Street and the Emirates Road.
