Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Club (SSC)’s Taekwondo team won first place for the men's category in the UAE Open Taekwondo Poomsae Championship for the sixth time in a row.

The championship concluded on Friday in the Children's Centre Hall in Al Jazzat in Sharjah.

The club achieved the highest rate of success by winning 6 medals, including 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal, in which 40 players from 8 clubs participated.

Eng. Sulaiman Abdelrahman Al Hajri, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club (SSC) and Head of Individual Games Department, praised the result, stating that this is not surprising for the Taekwondo team, which always gains various achievements and wins championships continuously. 

In turn, Captain Abdullah Hatem, Technical Director of the Taekwondo Team, praised the result, highlighting the clear development in the team, saying that the period of activity interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic did not affect the team, which remained in a state of continuous training and succeeded in returning strongly and achieving great success.
