Sharjah 24: The basketball team of Al Thiqah Club For Handicapped achieved a deserved victory over its counterpart, the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, with a score of 40-37 in the meeting that brought them together in the covered hall of Al Thiqa Club in the second round of the wheelchair basketball games organised by the UAE Paralympic Committee.

The coach of Al Thiqa Club, Ahmed Jassim, confirmed that the technical level of the championship is high, as evidenced by the convergence of the results of the league matches,  adding, "the players of Al Thiqa performed well in the match and were able to compensate for their unexpected loss in the first meeting, indicating that the team's collective and individual performance is developing from one match to the next and that all players have the ambition to achieve the title in light of this strong competition from other teams."

Ahmed Salem Al Mazloum, Executive Director of Al Thiqa Club For the Handicapped, praised the distinguished performance displayed by the players during the match and achieving victory in the team’s second match, noting that all players are responsible and have the technical and physical capabilities to achieve the championship title, adding that Al Thiqa Club succeeded in organising the meeting and maintaining all precautionary and preventive measures to preserve the safety of the players. He thanked all the medical and technical personnel who helped make the match a success.
