Sharjah24: Ms. Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafei, Director of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) and His Excellency Ali Musabbah Al Tunaiji, Director of the Municipality of Al Dhaid signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the city branch in Al Dhaid and the municipality, with the aim of enhancing the joint cooperation to provide distinguished services for students with disabilities and community activities and events.

According to the memorandum, the two parties undertake to collaborate  in the field of facilitating the access of persons with disabilities to all their facilities and buildings and to support joint media campaigns through social media and approved official channels; in addition to encouraging employees of both sides to volunteer and promote the community participation in activities and events.

On this occasion, Al Tunaiji praised the Municipality’s keenness and its continuous endeavor to empower persons with disabilities, highlighting the importance of educating the members of society about the necessity to educate and integrate the disabled in the community.

In turn, Ms. Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafei appreciated the keenness of the Al Dhaid Municipality to cooperate with the SCHS and provide appropriate services for people with disabilities, stressing that the city is working hard to consolidate and develop cooperation with institutions and agencies locally, regionally and internationally.
