Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work launches 1st virtual exhibition

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work (SAVW) has launched its 1st virtual exhibition for volunteer work, with the participation of 16 organisations and voluntary societies of public interest., including meetings, workshops, introductory lectures, awareness and introductory programs about volunteer opportunities and initiatives, in addition to introductory instructions about the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, how to participate and register in it and its criteria and requirements.

The virtual exhibition organised by the Award aims to attract individuals, institutions and everyone who has an interest in volunteer work, contributing in spreading and strengthening the culture of volunteer work in the community, and facilitating their joining the volunteer opportunities and initiatives offered by governmental and non-governmental institutions and the volunteer teams participating.

Commenting on this, Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work confirmed that the Award decided to establish the Sharjah Volunteer Work Exhibition virtually, in application of precautionary measures to prevent spread of coronavirus, stressing that it attracts several institutions and members of society.

She has also highlighted the importance of such activities which aim to promote encouraging and motivating volunteer work, through educating the community members. She has also lauded the success of the outcomes of the past sessions.

The Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work receives entries for the 18th session of its voluntary award, through its online portal www.sva.shj.ae, to upload the participating files, and the award is ready to receive inquiries and comments via contact numbers and social media platforms. The public can also refer to the Award's printed and electronic guide.
