Sharjah 24 – Reuters: Britain's Prince Charles and his wife received a traditional Maori welcoming ceremony in Auckland on Tuesday (November 19), where they met with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Governor General Dame Patsy Reddy.
The Prince of Wales inspected the Guard on the grounds of New Zealand's Government House and also met with Maori elders.

The Duchess of Cornwall also visited Safer Homes in New Zealand Everyday (Shine), which assists adult and child victims of domestic violence and abuse.

The 2019 royal tour is the couple's first trip to New Zealand in four years where they are set to visit Christchurch, Waitangi, Auckland and Kaikōura.


Attending the gathering included mayor of 13th arrondissement Jerome Coumet, mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo and member of French National Assembly Buon Tan.
