Sharjah 24: Under the slogan “A parent is a sports and educational partner”, Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club organized, on Thursday, a ceremony to honour players’ parents, as part of its strategic policies to strengthen its relationship with players’ families and to follow up on their daily training.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Humaid Obaid Al Hamoudi, Member of Sharjah Consultative Coucil; His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club; members of the Board of Directors; a large number of players’ parents and a group of invitees.

The ceremony began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, verses from the Holy Quran, and a speech by His Excellency the Club President, delivered on his behalf by Ahmed Abdullah Ali Al Qassib Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee. 

Ahmed Abdullah Ali Al Qassib Al Naqbi praised the great role played by parents and the importance of enhancing communication between parents and the club, and the importance of the role of parents and the support they provide to their children.

Al Naqbi concluded by saying that the initiative aims to enhance communication between parents and their permanent connection with the club, based on the club conviction of the importance of the role of parents and the support they provide to their athlete children to be distinguished and prominent in their team while practicing sports.

Al Wishahat Artistic Band also presented a segment dedicated to the players’ parents, and presented a video entitled: “Our Parents are the Reason for Our Excellence”.

In conclusion, the winning players in the first Gulf Games and the players’ parents were honoured. The parents also expressed their happiness with the gesture. They also renewed their thanks to the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club and considered the club a great outlet for their children.
