Sharjah24: Sharjah Media City “Shams” has announced holding the Shams Electronic Games Championship. The tournament will take place at the Shams Business Center from April 26 to 28. The aim is to enhance the UAE's position in the gaming sector at an international level.

This year, the tournament will be sponsored by Speedy Comics and run from 4 pm to 10 pm. The games selected for the tournament are FIFA 24, Tekken 8, and Super Smash Bros. The total value of the prizes offered to the winners reaches AED 30,000.

The Director of Shams, Rashid Abdullah Al Obed, stated that the tournament aligns with Shams' ongoing efforts to develop new generations' skills and discover potential talents in electronic gaming. He emphasized the importance of these sports in building players' personalities through values such as determination, ambition, and the spirit of challenge. Moreover, Shams constantly supports recreational and cultural activities in the region.

Al Obed added that the tournament is part of a series of events to strengthen Sharjah's position as a major hub for the gaming industry. He also mentioned that the tournament will not be just a competition but an unforgettable experience for fans of electronic games. It will combine skill, excitement, and the spirit of competition in an incomparable entertainment atmosphere.
